KSIF Begins Operation of High-Quality Korean
Culture Course 'Sejong Cultural Academy'
in 92 Institutions Across 45 Countries Worldwide

Korean culture courses and performances
The King Sejong Institute Foundation(President Lee Hai-young, hereafter referred to as the KSIF) has launched
the high-quality Korean culture courses 'Sejong Cultural Academy' through 92 operating institutions in 45
countries worldwide. Until December, it plans to provide specialized courses in 12 areas, including ▲K-beauty
▲Korean cuisine ▲Samulnori ▲Pansori ▲K-pop ▲Hanbok ▲Hangul calligraphy ▲Traditional martial arts and games,
among others.
Through the '2024 Sejong Cultural Academy', the KSIF will dispatch experts and support staff for each field
abroad based on local demand for Korean culture, providing high-quality learning and experiential opportunities
for KSI students and local residents. This year, the academy is expanding beyond KSI locations to include
embassies, cultural centers, education centers, and local educational institutions, allowing anyone interested
in Korean culture to experience the Sejong Cultural Academy wherever there is demand.

The KSIF is also collaborating with organizations like the Amorepacific Foundation, the Korean Food Promotion
Institute, and the Korea Craft and Design Foundation to support the Sejong Cultural Academy with experts,
ensuring that students receive in-depth courses. Additionally, the KSIF will select approximately 50 'Supporters
for Foreigners in Korea' to promote the Sejong Cultural Academy in their home countries for five months. Details

In her welcome address, President Lee Hai-young of the KSIF stated, “Through the Sejong Cultural Academy, we aim
to continuously support learners like Mafo Laure, who discovered Pansori and pursued a career as a singer
through studying in Korea, and Nancy Castro from Mexico, who became a Gyeonggi folk song instructor, helping
them to grow from initial interest to expertise and achieve their dreams.”
