The King Sejong Institute Foundation(Acting President and Secretary General Bae Jong-min, hereafter referred to
as KSIF) has collaborated with Arirang International Broadcasting(CEO Kim Tae-jeong, hereafter referred to as
Arirang TV) to produce the Korean language education program ‘K-Chat: Travel in Korea(hereafter referred to as
K-Chat Season 2)’. The program premiered on Arirang TV on October 7 and is available in 107 countries worldwide.
K-Chat Season 2 is a Korean language educational content designed for international audiences looking to learn
practical Korean expressions useful while traveling in Korea. Comprising a total of 24 episodes, with two
episodes grouped into 10-minute segments, the program will air over four weeks until November 1. Episodes are
broadcast every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday on Arirang TV and the Arirang World channel. They are also
accessible through KSIF’s official YouTube channel, King Sejong Institute Foundation.

Following the success of Season 1 (K-Chat: Conversing in Korean), which focused on basic Korean expressions for
everyday use, Season 2 introduces intermediate Korean expressions useful for traveling in South Korea. Drawing
inspiration from the Top 100 Tourist Destinations in Korea and 51 Representative Hallyu Tourism Courses, curated
by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, the program is set against
the backdrop of popular tourist attractions frequently visited by international travelers. Various real-life
travel scenarios are presented in entertaining skits to enhance the learning experience.

This season is hosted by Hye-rim, a former member of the K-pop group Wonder Girls, who graduated from the
Department of International Conference Interpretation and Communication at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
With experience in translation, broadcasting, and DJing, Hye-rim brings her expertise to introduce diverse
Korean language examples needed for specific travel situations. Additionally, she provides a broad overview of
Korean culture, enriching the learning experience for international viewers interested in the country.
Season 2 of K-Chat also features appearances by notable guests, including Hyojin, Seungjun, and Wyatt from the
K-pop group ONF, who recently completed successful concerts across eight regions in North America. Alexa, the
inaugural winner of NBC's American Song Contest, also joins the program. Through engaging skits featuring these
artists, the show aims to help international viewers better understand Korean expressions and apply them
effectively in real-life travel situations.
Broadcast Schedule for ‘K-Chat: Travel in Korea’
Bae Jong-min, Secretary General of KSIF, stated, “We hope that through K-Chat: Travel in Korea Season 2, which
returns this year following last year’s success, viewers from around the world can virtually explore every
corner of South Korea’s major travel destinations, enjoyably learn Korean language and culture, and deepen their
interest in Korea.”
