On October 31, the King Sejong Institute Foundation(Acting President and Secretary General Bae Jong-min,
hereafter referred to as KSIF) held Korean Company Job Fair for foreign learners aspiring to work at Korean
companies. The event took place in the Metaverse KSI platform (https://zep.us/@ksif). This fair was organized to
reflect the high interest and demand among KSI’s foreign learners for employment at Korean companies, providing
valuable information on the latest trends in hiring, preparation methods, and strategies for job seekers.
At the Metaverse KSI Korean Company Job Fair, participants had the opportunity to attend lectures by experts on
foreign employment in Korea and hear real-life success stories from KSI alumni who successfully secured jobs at
major Korean companies. Additionally, participants could access detailed recruitment information by visiting the
individual booths of 27 Korean companies set up in Metaverse KSI. The event saw 724 participants from 71
countries, and during the exhibition period (October 31 to November 6), the company booths attracted 1,330
visitors from 82 countries, marking a significant success.

During the expert lectures, Park Seong-eun, CEO of LEVERAGEPEDIA, gave a presentation titled “Trends in Korean
Company Employment and Preparation Strategies for Foreign Job Seekers”. The lecture covered the latest hiring
trends for foreigners in Korean companies, tips for writing resumes and self-introduction letters, and
strategies for preparing for interviews. This was followed by a lecture from Baek Ji-young, Secretary General of
the Korean Association of Professional Convention Organizers (PCO), who introduced Korea’s MICE (Meetings,
Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry and the role of professional convention organizers (PCOs). In
the success story segment, Pham Thi Yen, a graduate of KSI Hanoi2 who currently works at LG Display Vietnam,
shared her experience with learning Korean for employment, preparing resumes, and getting ready for interviews
at Korean companies.

Additionally, individual booths for 27 companies were set up in the Metaverse KSI, featuring industries such as
MICE, media, information technology (IT), and film, drama, and webtoon production. These promotional booths were
open for a week, from October 30 to November 6.
Bae Jong-min, Secretary General of KSIF, stated, “In the current trend where foreigners’ motivations for
learning Korean are shifting from simple hobbies to practical goals like studying or working in Korea, it is
meaningful to host a job fair in the Metaverse KSI. I hope this job fair has provided practical support for
foreign learners worldwide in preparing for employment at Korean companies.”
