Scheduled for February 15
The Korean-Saudi Choir of KSI Riyadh, under the direction of conductor Jung Hyo-jung, is diligently preparing
for their first performance of the year, set for February 15. Comprised of 15 female members, the choir holds
more than three performances annually. Additionally, they collaborate with the K-Drama Club to produce various
works, including musical performances and music videos.

Due to religious reasons, it has been challenging to establish music courses in Saudi Arabia. However, in the
first half of 2024, KSI launched its first special lecture on Korean language choir. After their inaugural
performance last year, members expressed their excitement and gratitude, saying, “I felt an unprecedented thrill
after stepping on stage for the first time,” and “I'm thankful to the KSI for providing such an experience.”
Following their successful debut, the members have shown immense affection and enthusiasm for the choir. In
2024, they achieved significant milestones, including participating in the KSI Riyadh Korean Speech Contest and
being invited to perform at the National Day event hosted by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Saudi
Arabia.

Korean-Saudi Choir conductor Jung Hyo-jung shared her thoughts on the choir's activities, stating, “The members
are currently building their self-confidence by expressing musical opinions through the dual languages of Korean
and music. In particular, to enhance the members' cultural depth, I try to introduce music spanning various
generations, from BTS's Dynamite to Lee Moon-se's Red Sunset, Infinite Track's To You, Lee Sang-eun's Someday,
and Arirang Alone. By practicing Korean songs, the members are gaining a deeper understanding of the Korean
language and the emotions of Korean people, which makes the experience even more meaningful. It’s fulfilling to
witness the consistent growth of the members.”
The Korean-Saudi Choir’s first performance of 2025 is scheduled for February 15. During this event, the choir
will also debut music videos for Rosé's APT. and Kim Won-joon's Show, both produced in collaboration with KSI
cultural interns and the Korean-Saudi Choir.
